Lynnville, Tennessee is a quaint Southern American town.
About 45 minutes north of my house, up in Giles county, Tennessee, is the small town of Lynnville. Sitting along the railroad tracks, it is about 15 minutes from Pulaski or 45 minutes south of Nashville.
The town covers less than one half square mile and has a population of less than 500 people.
While Lynnville is small in some ways it is large in style.
Right by the railroad tracks on Mill Street one can find lots of Americana.
Mill Street boasts a leather shop, a pie restaurant, a burger joint, a bank and some other businesses.
Lynnville boasts Americana, both inside and outside many of the businesses.
Sometime in the past, Soda Pop Junction and Big Johnny's Burgers combined and became one business.
The decor is very Americana, both inside and outside.
Just down the block is Colonel Littleton's Leather shop.
and....
Outside Soda Pop Junction the sidewalk is stylish.
The Iron Horse Hotel sits along the railroad track. I wonder what stories these walls could tell?
Yea, that would be some fine American literature. I am guessing that more than one heart was broken inside those walls as well as more than one promise. But also many good people shared many warm nights and many warm hugs there as well. Who can say?
Perhaps those ideas are just a reflection of this writer's mood - or the rainy weather.
Between the leather shop and the burger cafe one can buy some fresh made pies.
There are lots of things to see in Lynnville, Tennessee.
I think if walls could talk - like the nearby hotel - this garage would have some stories to tell of southern America in the mid twentieth century - and the rolling hills of Tennessee - and the good people who live there.
In Closing:
Lynnville, Tennessee is very Americana. Like most states in America, Tennessee has a long history with stories of the human struggle, dotted with success, love and hate, loss, joy and grief.
If one takes time to look, they can see many things, colors, shapes, and people that reflect not just life in America, but the human condition since time began.
Or are those ideas just a reflection of this writer's mood on a rainy day?

As always for the pictures and I do ot think the reflections of people and times are just a thought of an ole fellow on a rainy day!
Is the hotel still open? Nice shots Rocky.
Hi! Local heraldry should be published too! And it wouldn't be bad to put a dot on the map! What is the peculiarity of the local people of this town, customs, beliefs, superstitions, traditions? Folk folklore is very important!
Beautiful place and wonderful photos!! Hope to visit some time!
